WORDTALLY
A word, character, sentence and reading-time counter for anyone checking the length of a piece of writing.
Every count is a definition. What counts as a word, a sentence or a character changes the number, and most counters don't say which definition they use.
WordTally uses simple, fixed definitions and states them. A word is anything between spaces. A sentence ends with a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark. A paragraph is a non-empty line. Reading time assumes 200 words a minute and speaking time 130.
It also lists the most frequent keywords, leaving out common English filler words.
The limit: the definitions are English-oriented. Nepali text gets no keywords and its sentence endings aren't recognised, abbreviations like 'Dr.' split sentences, accented words are trimmed in keywords, and emoji inflate the character count. There are no tests.
Next I would count characters as people see them, recognise the Nepali full stop, and add a small test set of Nepali, emoji and abbreviation samples.
